Technology Overview

The artwork is not a decal, wrap, sticker or paint applied to the surface of the mouse, it uses an exclusive patented ink-based additive production process (the colours are part of the actual shell, at least around 0.5mm depth). This process allows us to achieve unrivalled colour accuracy and vibrancy and perfectly map the iconic skins onto the chassis without the risk of the colour or texture wearing off. 

Each design is reworked and created utilising 10million ink colours within CMYK spectrum, ensuring every detail of the original artwork is captured with precision, fully approved by the original CS artists. It has taken several years to find and perfect the manufacturing process, and what we settled with was not low cost. In fact the shell alone costs more than the mouse itself.

The CS Series Case 001 Collection, its embossed tactile design, colour depth and robust build cannot be replicated by any other method.

History

Mouseskins began as the vision of our founder in 2019, blending passion for performance with a desire for personalization. The name itself reflects our origins, where we started with mice and skins. Our pioneering innovation was a composite vinyl with sweat-wicking, hypoallergenic properties and tactile grip. Performance has always come first! We later introduced colours and customisation.

What started with mice quickly expanded into a global journey. Breakthroughs in industries like Formula 1, the Football World Cup, and esports propelled us to explore new horizons. 

Today, our portfolio spans a diverse array of hardware and experiences, from cars and GPUs to headsets, keycaps, and even bespoke events. From humble beginnings in a shed to a brand celebrated for innovation, Mouseskins continues to evolve, crafting solutions that inspire and perform.

Today

Mouseskins now offers artisanal and precision methods, ranging from hand-painted miniatures to re-forged tech crafted from unique materials. Whether it’s hand-carved wood or precision-shaped titanium, we have the expertise, partnerships, and resources to make it happen.

Our work has garnered attention from esteemed outlets such as FORBES, ESI, BBC, and was even showcased at the BLAST Paris Major 2023. Now, with the launch of the CS SERIES, we’re thrilled to present our first publicly available concept product, a milestone in our ongoing evolution.

Products & Production

Our production methods extend far beyond traditional techniques, incorporating Additive Manufacturing (AM) for precision on an industrial scale, beyond what is capable with desktop 3D printing. Utilizing advanced materials such as polyceramics, similar to those used in dental fillings, and carbon-weaved lattices, we collaborate with leading research groups and universities to ensure our capabilities remain at the forefront of innovation.

In addition to AM, we employ a range of advanced technologies, including laser engraving, CNC machining, micro-soldering, and the use of resins, graphene composites, and carbon fiber. Our metalworking expertise spans a variety of materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, solid brass, bronze, and other rare metals, available upon request. We also offer electro-gold and vacuum-silver plating, further elevating the premium quality of our creations.

Ceramic Paint

A step beyond traditional finishes, our ceramic coating offers unparalleled durability. Resistant to acids, blades, and general wear, this advanced paint is inspired by the high-performance coatings used in industries like aerospace and motorsport. In collaboration with the paint’s creators, we’ve refined this formula to ensure its application provides the utmost resilience. This same coating is used on SpaceX rockets for heat shielding and Alpine F1 gaming headsets, proving its ability to withstand the most demanding environments. 

Environmental Impact from Mice

In a tech landscape often driven by disposable culture, we prioritize sustainability and longevity. Among PC hardware, mice are some of the most frequently discarded devices, frequently replaced even when fully functional. Once gamers find their preferred mouse, there is a higher chance they will stick with it long term, providing it’s built to last. Our mission is to redefine the mouse as a long-term investment, one that endures far beyond the typical replacement cycle.

While many are eager to learn about our processes, revealing too much would compromise our competitive advantage in the ever-evolving tech market. We’ve already witnessed the theft of CS SKINS artwork, so safeguarding our manufacturing techniques is crucial.

The CS SERIES is crafted using the latest advancements in AM Manufacturing, incorporating materials that are closer to medical-grade composites. These materials offer breathability, feature embossed art for enhanced grip, and include 25-year UV protection, ensuring that your CS SKINS mouse retains its pristine appearance for years to come.

Case 001

Built on Logitech's PRO X SUPERLIGHT, the market-dominating mouse, Case 001 will feature the 2nd Generation sensor and wireless technology by default. 

However, for our loyal fans, we offer 1st Generation models in limited quantities, available only by request with a purchase ID.

Artisan Keycaps

Building upon the innovations of the CS SERIES, we now craft artisan keycaps using our advanced AM techniques. These keycaps transcend conventional hand-painted designs, offering unparalleled detail and opening new avenues for creativity in the market.

MS Vinyl

While a legacy product, MS Vinyl continues to offer a unique solution for crafting truly one-of-a-kind designs. It permanently embeds 8K details to hardware such as headsets and GPUs. The MS Vinyl technology empowers creatives, gaming brands, independent artists, and esports teams to explore the boundaries of design and bespoke creations.
